MARKET MOVERS
1950: It's as you were at the top of the Barclays Premier League as the top four all drew 0-0 on an uninspiring day of football at the top of England's elite division.

Manchester United had the chance to close the gap on leaders Chelsea and Liverpool as they took to the pitch at Villa Park for their evening kick-off, but a stout defensive display from Martin O'Neill's team ensured another goalless result.

Aston Villa were cut to 100/1 from 125/1 for the title with VC Bet. The same firm have Manchester United at 3/1, who are 13/5 at Stan James.

It all means little has changed in the outright betting market, with the exception of Arsenal who are now considered 50/1 outsiders after they were thumped 3-0 at Manchester City.

Chelsea, who drew 0-0 at home to Newcastle, remain odds-on favourites at 8/11 with a host of layers despite their patchy form at Stamford Bridge.

Joe Kinnear is now 29/10 on Betfair to become the next permanent Newcastle manager - it was announced after the game at Chelsea he will be staying at St James' Park for at least another month.

Liverpool traded at a low of 1.22 on Betfair but couldn't find a way past a determined Fulham rearguard at Anfield. Rafa Benitez's men are now 7/2 for the title with VC Bet, but as short as 3/1 elsewhere.

At the other end of the table, Bolton and Stoke eased their relegation worries with important victories.

Bolton won 3-1 at Middlesbrough and are now 11/5 for the drop with Paddy Power, while Stoke are 4/5 to go down with bet365 after they beat West Brom 1-0.

West Brom now sit bottom of the pile, and are 1/3 with several bookies to return to the Championship.
